Witness Appeal – St. David’s Shooting - Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the shooting which took place outside of Southside Cinema around 11:30pm Friday. The victims, a 26 year old Pembroke man and a 24 year old Warwick woman, remain in hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time.

Inquiries into this incident are ongoing. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact Acting Chief Inspector Michael Redfern at the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011. We are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have been in the Southside area around 11:30pm Friday and saw anyone acting suspiciously.

In addition, anyone with any information can call the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477 or submit an anonymous tip via the Crime Stoppers Bermuda website www.crimestoppers.bm.

Burglary

At 11:20am today, Police received a report of a burglary at a Mizzentop, Warwick residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 5pm and 10pm on Saturday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Theft

Around 9:50am on Saturday, Police received a report of a theft from an unattended vehicle. The complainants stated that sometime between 2:30am and 9:30am that day, an unknown culprit gained into their car while it was parked outside of a Mizzentop, Warwick residence. The culprit stole a quantity of loose change. It also appears that three other vehicles parked in the area were tampered with overnight. Inquiries are underway.

Advisory

Police have received reports of thefts from unattended vehicles in Warwick & Southampton overnight Friday, November 13th to Saturday, November 14th. The public is reminded to secure their vehicles before leaving them unattended for any length of time and to remain vigilant for any suspicious individuals or activities in their neighbourhoods. Anyone with any information about these incidents is encouraged to call the main Police number, 295-0011.
