Injury RTC - At 12:15am today, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Parsons Lane in Devonshire. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on Middle Road when the rider, a 23 year old Pembroke man, lost control and collided with a utility pole and a tree. The Pembroke man sustained head injuries as well as two broken ankles and was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Damage Only RTC

Around 8:40pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision at the junction of Middle Road and Riviera Road in Southampton. It appears that a car was traveling west on Middle Road when the driver, a 78 year old Sandys parish woman, lost control and collided with bushes along the roadside. The driver and her passenger, a 74 year old Sandys parish woman were not injured; however, they were taken to KEMH for medical evaluation as they both complained of chest pains. The car received extensive front end damage.

Robbery

At 1:15pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported robbery at The Supermart on Front Street in the City of Hamilton. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 47 year old Pembroke woman, who stated that she was at the ATM when an unknown man approached her brandishing a bladed article and demanded money. She gave the offender a quantity of cash and he left the premises on foot. The Pembroke woman was not injured. The suspect, a 46 year old Pembroke man, was arrested outside Docksiders Pub & Restaurant a short time later. The quantity of cash was also recovered. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 2 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 2 reported burglaries. There were also 11 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 11 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 12 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
