Update - Shooting on Glebe Road

Around 4pm Saturday, Police responded to a report of gunshots in the Glebe Road, Pembroke area. As a result, a 21 year old Pembroke man was taken to the hospital for a gun shot wound and he is presently in satisfactory condition on a general ward at KEMH.

An investigation has commenced with officers from the Serious Crime Unit and several lines of inquiry have begun.

Two Pembroke men age 29 and 30 are in Police custody in connection with the incident. Also, patrols in the areas in question have been stepped up. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact Acting Chief Inspector Calvin Smith at the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011. We are particularly interested in speaking with anyone that may have been in the area of Glebe Road and Yardie Kitchen between 12 noon and 4pm Saturday, no matter how insignificant you may believe the information to be; or alternatively, anyone with any information can call the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477 or submit an anonymous tip via the Crime Stoppers Bermuda website www.crimestoppers.bm.
