Injury RTC - Around 1:25pm today, Police received a report of a road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Store Hill. Details about what occurred are unclear at this time; however it appears that a truck overturned. As a result there were traffic delays in the area; however the vehicle involved was subsequently removed from the scene and normal traffic flow resumed. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 4pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Palmetto Road in Devonshire near the junction with Trackside Lane involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling west on Palmetto Road behind a car when the car stopped to allow a pedestrian across the road. The motorcycle avoided colliding with the car but instead collided with the pedestrian, a 9 year old girl. She sustained a sprained right knee. The rider of the motorcycle, a 24 year old Pembroke man, was not injured and the motorcycle did not receive any damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
