Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service would like to remind the public to securely lock their homes, including all windows and doors, before leaving the premises unattended for any length of time. Taking these precautions will lessen the chance of your property being subject to a successful burglary. Residents are also encouraged to remain vigilant for any suspicious individuals or activity in their neighbourhoods and to call Police on 295-0011 if they notice anything out of the ordinary.

The Bermuda Police Service would also like to advise the public that there is an individual claiming to be a house and or roof painter going around to various homes offering his services. However, after he receives the money to buy the paint, he does not return to carry out the work. The public is reminded to ask for proper identification from anyone offering a service or claiming to be from a particular business. If still in doubt, call the company in question to find out if the individual is employed with them or if the individual appears to be acting in a suspicious manner, contact Police on 295-0011.
