Willful Damage/Theft - Police have received several reports of willful damage/theft from vehicles in the Mount Langton Crescent/Langton Lane/Robin Hood Drive, Pembroke area over the weekend. In some instances small quantities of cash and or personal items were taken from the vehicles; in others, it appears that nothing was taken.

Police have also received reports of willful damage/theft from two vehicles in the Friswells Lane, Pembroke area. It appears that sometime between 9pm on Thursday and 8:30am on Friday an unknown culprit or culprits gained entry into both vehicles. Again, it appears that small quantities of cash and or personal items were taken.

Inquiries into these incidents are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Witness Appeal

The investigation into the shooting of a 62 year old Smith’s parish man at a residence on Hinson Lane in Smith’s parish around 1:35am Sunday, September 6th is ongoing. Police are continuing to appeal for anyone who has any information, whether they believe it to be significant or not, to contact detectives at the Serious Crime Unit at telephone number 299-8106. Alternatively, anyone with any information about this incident is encouraged to contact the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-8477 or submit anonymous tips through their website www.crimestoppers.bm.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 6 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 6 reported burglaries. There were also 12 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 9 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 3 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
