Injury RTC - At 3:05pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the car was exiting the parking lot of the Shelly Bay Marketplace and the motorcycle was traveling west on North Shore Road when the vehicles collided. The male motorcycle rider sustained a possible broken left leg and abrasions. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 47 year old woman, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the car received moderate front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 9:40am on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Rebecca Road, Southampton residence. The complainants stated that sometime between midnight and 6:30am that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home. The culprit stole a BlackBerry Bold cellular phone, a black IBM laptop computer, a black 22” flat screen TV and a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 5 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 13 reported burglaries. There were also 11 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 15 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 8 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
