Burglary - Around 4am today, Police attended a reported burglary at a Riviera Crescent, Southampton residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that they were awoken by noises inside their home. When they went to investigate, they found an unknown man inside the residence. The offender then made good his escape on foot. A quantity of cash was discovered missing. The suspect is described as a dark skinned male, approximately 5’8” tall of slim build wearing blue denim shorts, a dark coloured shirt and a dark coloured hat. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Arrest

Around 2:15am today, Police responded to a report of intoxicated men outside of Ice Queen in Paget. On arrival officers observed two young men standing and eating, with two motorcycles parked next to them. Both men were very unsteady on their feet. When asked if the cycles were theirs, the men stated that they were. The men, who appeared to be intoxicated, had the keys to the cycles in their hands. As a result, the 19 year old Paget man and 19 year old Warwick man were arrested on suspicion of having care & control of a vehicle while impaired. At that time, both men uttered racially offensive words to the Police officers. Both men were subsequently taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained. The Warwick man refused to take the alco-analyser test, while the Paget man failed the test. A court appearance is anticipated.

Missing Juvenile – Found

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 17 year old Troylene Anderson. She was located by Police yesterday evening at Hayward ’s Supermarket in Warwick safe and well. She was subsequently returned to her accommodation.
