Sudden Death - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 53 year old Barbara Massover from New York, USA. Around 3:20pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a medical emergency. It appears that Mrs. Massover, a visitor to the island, was with her family in the water at Mangrove Bay when she became unresponsive. She was a passenger of the ‘Sun Deck 2’ at the time, where she was given CPR by the crew. The victim was then transferred to Police vessel ‘Rescue 2’ where efforts to revive her continued before being rushed to KEMH via ambulance; however she was subsequently pronounced dead at 4:24pm by an on call physician. There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. The Bermuda Police Service extends our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
