Injury RTC/Impaired Driving - Around 3:35am on Sunday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Mullet Bay Road in St. George’s near the junction with Stokes Point Road. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling west on St. David’s Road when Police on mobile patrol observed the vehicle did not have its lights on and signaled the rider, a 51 year old Sandys parish man, to stop. However, the Sandys parish man continued through the round-a-bout, over the swing bridge and on to Mullet Bay Road before losing control and falling to the ground. He sustained a facial injury as a result and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The 51 year old Sandys parish man was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The motorcycle received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 11pm on Saturday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Middle Terrace, Pembroke residence. The complainants stated that sometime between 5pm and 10:45pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Sony laptop computer, two Nokia cellular phones, a quantity of cash and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 11:15am on Saturday, Police received a report of a burglary at an Ashwood Lane, Smith’s parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 9:30pm on Friday and 6:30am on Saturday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a grey Dell laptop computer and a black PlayStation Portable (PSP). Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 4 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 7 reported burglaries. There were also 13 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 7 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 13 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
