Injury RTC - Around 1:15 this morning, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Front Street and Bermudiana Road in Pembroke involving an auxiliary cycle and a motorcycle. It appears that the auxiliary cycle was traveling west on Front Street and the motorcycle was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided as the auxiliary cycle attempted to turn on to Bermudiana Road. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 16 year old Pembroke woman, sustained head injuries. The rider of the motorcycle, a 32 year old Paget man, also sustained head injuries. Both were taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The cycles each received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 7:20pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Church Street and Burnaby Street in Pembroke. It appears that a car was traveling along Church Street when the driver, a 42 year old Smith’s parish woman, lost control as she attempted to turn on to Burnaby Street and collided with the median lane divider. The Smith’s parish woman complained of feeling dizzy at the scene and was taken to KEMH via ambulance for observations. The vehicle sustained extensive damage to its front end and right side. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Injury RTC/Impaired Driving

Around 2:10am on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Devonshire near the junction with Cable Hill involving three cars. It appears that one car was traveling east on North Shore Road when the driver, a 40 year old Pembroke man, lost control and collided with two cars traveling in the opposite direction. The driver of the eastbound car was apparently not injured; however, he was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained after failing the alco-analyser test. The driver of the first westbound car, a 54 year old St. George’s woman, received lacerations to her right elbow while the driver of the second westbound car, a 38 year old Hamilton parish woman, was also apparently not injured. The eastbound car and the second westbound car received extensive front end damage while the first westbound car received moderate front and rear damage to its right side. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Damage Only RTC

Around 5:20am on Saturday, Police attended a single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Mangrove Bay Road in Sandy’s parish. Officers on mobile patrol in a marked Police vehicle on Mangrove Bay Road near Watford Bridge observed a car traveling west on that road when the driver, a 69 year old Sandy’s parish man, lost control and drove through a wall. As a result the vehicle ended up on the shoreline of Mangrove Bay. EMTs attended the scene, but the Sandy’s parish man stated he was not injured. However, the car received extensive front end damage and the wall was also damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 3:50am on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Harbour Road in Paget. It appears that a car was traveling west on Harbour Road when the driver, a 53 year old Warwick man lost control, collided with a wall and ended up overboard. The Warwick man and his front seat passenger, a 28 year old Warwick woman, were not injured and managed to climb to safety. The car received extensive front end damage. The wall was also damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
