Injury RTC - Around 1:15pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Paynters Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Harrington Sound Road. It appears that a rental cycle was traveling west on Paynters Road when the rider, a 38 year old Massachusetts man, lost control and collided with a tree. He sustained a laceration to his left leg and abrasions while his passenger, a 35 year old Massachusetts woman, sustained a fractured left leg and abrasions. The visiting American couple was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The rental cycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 2:05am on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at a North Shore Road, Pembroke residence. The complainants stated that sometime between 11:30pm on Saturday and 2am on Sunday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of electronic equipment, jewelry and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 12:15am on Saturday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Warwick Lane, Warwick residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7:15pm on Friday and 12:15am on Saturday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a black I-Pod Touch and a quantity of jewelry. The suspect is described as a brown skinned male, approximately 6’ tall of medium build with a bald head and unkempt beard wearing a long white T-shirt and dark coloured pants. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 5 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 6 reported burglaries. There were also 14 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 5 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 14 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
