Burglary - At 4:50pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Rock Garden Lane, Smith’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 8:30am and 4:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 2:15pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Colony Valley, Southampton residence. The complainants stated that sometime between 10am and 1:15pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole an I-Pod Nano, two Samsung cellular phones and a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 2pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a South Road, Southampton residence. The complainants stated that around 1:50pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole an Olympus camera. The suspect is described as a dark skinned heavyset male, wearing a white T-shirt with blue writing, dark coloured pants, brown construction boots and a gold earring. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

There have been several reported burglaries recently throughout the island, particularly in the Southampton area. The Bermuda Police Service is again reminding all residents to securely lock their homes before leaving them unattended for any length of time. In addition, the public should be vigilant for any suspicious activity or individuals in their neighbourhood and report any information they may have regarding either to Police on 295-0011.
