Injury RTC - Around 9:40pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of North Shore Road and My Lord’s Bay Road in Hamilton parish involving two motorcycles. It appears that one motorcycle was traveling west on North Shore Road and the other motorcycle was traveling along My Lord’s Bay Road when the cycles collided at the junction. The rider of the motorcycle traveling on North Shore Road, a 32 year old Hamilton parish man, complained of pain to his collar bone while his pillion passenger, a 29 year old Hamilton parish woman, sustained abrasions to her arms and legs. The rider of the other motorcycle, a 26 year old Hamilton parish man, complained of pain to his right thumb and sustained abrasions to his left leg. Both cycles received minor damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 1pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury involving four vehicles at the junction of King Street and Victoria Street in Pembroke. It appears that a car was traveling from Victoria Street on to King Street when the driver, a 77 year old Southampton woman, lost control and collided with another car as well as a parked car, which then rolled into another parked car. The 77 year old woman sustained a small abrasion to her left leg while her car was extensively damaged. The driver of the second car, a 49 year old Southampton woman, complained of back & neck pain while her passengers, a 12 year old Southampton girl and a 13 year old Southampton girl, complained of neck pain and back & neck pain respectively. Their car was also extensively damaged. All of the injured individuals were taken to KEMH for medical assessment. The two parked cars received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 5 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 6 reported burglaries. There were also 17 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 12 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 7 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
