Injury RTC - At 2:45am on Saturday, Police attended a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Crow Lane in Paget near the junction with Corkscrew Hill. It appears that a rental cycle was traveling south on Crow Lane when the rider, a 25 year old Devonshire man (Canadian national) lost control, mounted a sidewalk and collided with a concrete pillar. The Devonshire man sustained serious head & internal injuries and was rushed to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. He is currently in critical but stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit. The rental cycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision or anyone with any information to contact PC Tavoris Douglas on 295-0011.

Handbag Snatch

At 7pm on Saturday, Police received a report of a handbag snatch. The victims, a 35 year old Arizona (USA) man and a 32 year old Arizona (USA) woman who are visitors to the island, stated that around 6pm that day they were riding a rental cycle traveling west on South Road in Paget when two unknown men on a motorcycle rode alongside them and removed a brown backpack from the rental cycle’s basket. The offenders then made good their escape. The visitors were not injured. The brown backpack contained a quantity of cash, a Sony digital camera and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

Missing Juvenile

The Bermuda Police Service is continuing to appeal for the public’s assistance in locating 16 year old Troylene Anderson. The teenager was last seen around 10:30pm on Thursday, May 21st 2009 in the Smith’s parish area. She is described as light brown skinned, 5’5” tall of thick build weighing approximately 186 pounds with black hair. Troylene Anderson was last seen wearing black jean pants, a black hooded jacket and a pink shirt. She also has a muffler burn on her right leg above the ankle. The teenager is known to frequent the Pembroke area and has been in contact with family recently. Police are appealing for anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 16 year old Troylene Anderson to contact the Child Victims Unit on 295-0011.
