Fatal RTC - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 22 year old Delmonte Browne of Paget. Mr. Browne was riding a motorcycle which was involved in a three vehicle collision on Middle Road in Paget near Eve’s Cycles around 2:30pm Saturday. He was seriously injured and rushed to KEMH via ambulance where he was subsequently pronounced dead at 4:39pm by an on call physician. The Bermuda Police Service extends our sincere condolences to the family & friends of the deceased. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.

The death of Delmonte Browne marks the 7th road traffic fatality of 2009.

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 78 year old James McMaster of Devonshire. Around 10:30am on Monday, Police attended a reported serious road traffic collision at the junction of South Road and Mission Road in Paget, in the vicinity of Modern Mart involving a bus and a motorcycle. Details about the collision were initially unclear; however it now appears that the bus was traveling west on South Road and the motorcycle was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 78 year old Devonshire man, was seriously injured and rushed to KEMH via ambulance where he was subsequently pronounced dead at 11:05am by an on call physician. The driver of the bus, a 50 year old Southampton woman, was not injured but was taken to KEMH for evaluation. It appears there were passengers on the bus at the time; however there were no reported injuries. The Bermuda Police Service extends our sincere condolences to the family & friends of the deceased. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.

The Bermuda Police Service family is saddened to learn of the tragic & untimely death of former Assistant Commissioner of Police James McMaster due to a road traffic collision. Mr. McMaster joined the Bermuda Police Force on March 18th 1952 at the age of 21 and during his career was awarded the Colonial Police Medal (1967), the Long Service Medal (1970) and the Queen’s Police Medal (1978). The Bermuda Police Service extends our sincerest condolences to the family of former Assistant Commissioner of Police James McMaster at this difficult time.

Missing Juvenile

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 16 year old Troylene Anderson. The teenager was last seen around 10:30pm on Thursday, May 21st 2009 in the Smith’s parish area. She is described as light brown skinned, 5’5” tall of thick build weighing approximately 186 pounds with black hair. Troylene Anderson was last seen wearing black jean pants, a black hooded jacket and a pink shirt. She also has a muffler burn on her right leg above the ankle. The teenager is known to frequent the Pembroke area and has been in contact with family recently. Police are appealing for anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 16 year old Troylene Anderson to contact the Child Victims Unit on 295-0011.
