Injury RTC - Around 11:55pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Paget near the junction with Southcote Road. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling west on South Road (near Coral Beach) when the rider, a 25 year old Warwick man (Australian national), lost control and collided with a wall. The victim sustained head injuries and was rushed to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit; his injuries are considered serious but are not believed to be life threatening. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Francilla Henry on 295-0011.

Around 4am on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Warwick near the junction with Dunscombe Road. Details about how the collision occurred are unclear; however on arrival officers observed a motorcycle laying in the road and EMTs assisting the victim. The rider, a 27 year old Warwick man, sustained a fractured left leg and an injury to his hand. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment and is currently recovering on a general ward. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. It is believed there may have been another vehicle involved. Inquiries into this incident are underway. At 11:50pm on Friday, Police attended a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on The Causeway in St. George’s. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on The Causeway when the rider, a 53 year old St. George’s man, lost control and collided with a wall. The St. George’s man sustained head injuries and an injury to his left leg. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Michael Butcher on 293-2222.

Around 7:45pm on Friday, Police attended a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Parsons Road in Pembroke. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling west on Parsons Road when the rider, a 19 year old Pembroke man lost control, colliding with the sidewalk and then a road sign. The Pembroke man was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of suspected broken ribs and possible internal injuries. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
