Vehicle Fire - Around 12:25am today, Police were on mobile patrol when they received a report of a vehicle fire on North Shore Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Blackwatch Pass. On arrival officers observed a car engulfed in flames. The Bermuda Fire Service also attended the scene and extinguished the fire. The car was extensively damaged and subsequently impounded by Police. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.

Burglary

Around 7:55pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Middle Road, Southampton residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 4am and 7:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a small quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 8am on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at Purvis Primary School. The complainant stated that sometime between 5:30pm on Monday and 7:45am on Tuesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises. The culprit stole a grey 27” Magnavox TV with built in DVD/VCR player. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 7:45am on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Bob’s Valley Lane, Sandy’s parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 2:30am and 5:30am that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole a brown handbag containing a quantity of cash and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
