Damage Only RTC

At 5:50am on Sunday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision on Middle Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Aldie Drive. It appears that a car was traveling west on Middle Road when the driver, a 19 year old Devonshire man, lost control and collided with a tree. The Devonshire man complained of minor chest pain. The car received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Injury RTC
Around 2:15am on Sunday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Devonshire near the junction with Barkers Hill. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling west on North Shore Road when the rider, a 49 year old Devonshire man, lost control and collided with a wall. The Devonshire man sustained abrasions to his feet and a fractured left shoulder. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment and subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The motorcycle received minor damage to its left side. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Weekend Activity
Over the weekend there were 2 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 1 reported burglary. There were also 11 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 6 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 4 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
