Assault - Around 10:45pm on Friday, Police received a report of an assault. It appears that the victim, a 22 year old Hamilton parish man, was assaulted by a group of men brandishing various objects on North Church Lane in Hamilton parish. The victim sustained lacerations and abrasions to his head and body. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment; however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. At last check he was in stable condition on a general ward. Three St. George’s men, aged 20, 21 & 22 were later arrested in connection with this matter. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222.

Police are also aware of a reported disturbance at the Hamilton Parish Workman’s Club where a 25 year old Hamilton parish man and a 31 year old Warwick man were injured; as well as a report of willful damage at a Hamilton parish residence on Friday evening. The victims were treated at KEMH for lacerations to the head and abdomen respectively and released. It appears no one was injured at the Hamilton parish residence. All three incidents are believed to be linked. Inquiries are ongoing.

Injury RTC

Around 6:15pm on Friday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Paget near the junction with Bostock Hill East. It appears that an auxiliary cycle was traveling west on Middle Road when the rider, a 17 year old Southampton woman, lost control and fell to the ground. The Southampton woman sustained abrasions to her right foot and both elbows. She was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The cycle received minor damage.
