Burglary- At 12 noon on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Cottage Hill Lane, Hamilton parish residence. It appears that an unknown man brandishing a weapon attended the home, forced his way inside and accosted the two female occupants, a 35 year old Hamilton parish woman and her friend. The suspect then made good his escape. The victims were not injured. A 42 year old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and inquiries are ongoing. Police are encouraging anyone with any information regarding this matter to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 299-4315 or the confidential Crime Stoppers Hotline on 1-800-623-8477.

Attempted Robbery

Around 8:40pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of an attempted robbery at the Upper Crust Restaurant in Warwick. It appears that around 8pm that day an unknown man entered the establishment brandishing a bladed article and demanding cash. However, when the suspect attempted to open the cash register, an employee confronted him with a ‘broomstick’ and the suspect made good his escape empty handed. The employee was not injured. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’5” tall of average build wearing a black sweatshirt, dark coloured long pants and a black helmet with a visor. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
