Damage Only RTC

Around 8:40 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision at the junction of North Shore Road and Bandroom Lane in Pembroke. It appears that a truck was traveling east on North Shore Road when the driver, a 40 year old Smith’s parish man, lost control (apparently due to a seizure) and collided with a wall before colliding with a second wall and a pole at the junction. As a result the truck was extensively damaged; however the driver was not injured. It is believed the Smith’s parish man was taken to KEMH via ambulance for observation relating to his medical condition. A car parked at a nearby residence received minor damage from wall debris. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
