Assault

Around 5:30pm on Monday, Police attended a reported assault on Reid Street in the City of Hamilton. It appears that the victim, believed to be a 19 year old Warwick man, was assaulted by an unknown suspect with a pointed object in Par-La-Ville Park. The injured man was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of a laceration to the right side of his face. His injury is not believed to be life threatening. However, the victim has refused to co-operate with Police and no witnesses to the incident were located, despite officers speaking with members of the public who were in the park around the time of the incident.
