Robbery

At 11:45pm on Friday, Police attended a reported robbery on Friswells Road in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, who is an employee of Four Star Pizza. He stated that at 10:50pm he was delivering an order to a Friswells Road residence when he was approached by two unknown men. One of the men placed a knife to his neck and demanded money. The victim handed the suspect a quantity of cash, a Nokia cellular phone and a pizza. Both suspects then escaped on foot, running west on Friswells Road. The victim was not injured. The suspects are described as two black men believed to be in their 20s, wearing grey helmets and black jackets. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Assault

At 10:55pm on Friday, Police attended KEMH after a report of an assault. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 45 year old Southampton man, who stated that around 10:45pm he arrived at his Landmark Drive, Southampton residence in a taxi with his wife and a work colleague. As he got out of the taxi, a neighbour indicated that four unknown young men were attempting to steal a motorcycle from the cycle parking area. The Southampton man approached the young men and one of them rode off on a dark coloured cycle. However, one of the remaining suspects threatened the victim before punching him in the face and stabbing him in the left arm with a bladed article. The three remaining suspects then made good their escape on foot. The victim was treated at KEMH and released. The suspects are described as four dark skinned men, believed to be in their 20s; with the main suspect being described as approximately 59” tall weighing 150 – 160 pounds, wearing a black short sleeved T-shirt and a black open face helmet. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.
