Burglary

Around 8:45pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Warwick guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant, who is a visitor to the island. He stated that sometime between 1pm and 7pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his room. The culprit stole a pair of black shorts and a wallet containing a quantity of cash. The wallet was subsequently recovered minus the cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Injury RTC

Around 5:15pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with East Point Lane involving a taxi and a motorcycle. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling east on North Shore Road and the taxi was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided as the taxi attempted to make a right turn into a driveway. The rider of the cycle, a 31 year old Hamilton parish man, sustained a back injury. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment; however, his injury is not believed to be life threatening. The driver of the taxi, a 55 year old Sandys parish man, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
