Burglary

Around 10:30am on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Gilbert Hill, Smiths parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 11pm on Sunday and 1am on Monday, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole an off white coloured handbag containing a Kodak digital camera and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 3:50pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported burglary at the WEDCO plant nursery near the junction of Malabar Road and Heydon Road in Sandys parish. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 10am on Friday and 8:30am on Sunday, an unknown culprit gained entry into a storeroom on the premises. The culprit stole a quantity of Stihl tools. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

The Bermuda Police Service would like to remind the motoring public that officers are monitoring the Washington Street, City of Hamilton Bus Terminal area for any traffic related offences which may occur, particularly during peak traffic periods.

Motorists should be aware that there are parking restrictions on Washington Street and that the street is primarily for the use of Government buses.

We are asking for the motoring publics co-operation so that buses can maneuver safely both into and out of the Washington Street terminal. Any motorists found in contravention of the signage concerning parking or vehicles traveling along Washington Street can expect to be ticketed.
