Burglary

Police responded to a report of a burglary that took place yesterday at Frascotti Lane in Smith Parish.Police spoke to the complainant who stated that he left his residence secured at 11am and returned at 1:30pm only to find that someone had broken into his house, made an untidy search of his property and stole a large quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Meantime, Police also attended a residence on North Shore Road in Pembroke on a report of a burglary.Police spoke to the complainants who stated that they left their residence yesterday at 1:30pm only to return and notice that someone had also gained entry into their home, made a search and stole some of the contents of the dwelling. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Police are reminding everyone to secure their homes locking all doors and windows before you retire for the night or leave the home. Please do not leave large sums of money around the house and put valuable jewelry in a safety deposit box or a safe that is secured in the residence.
