Death of Shaki Eugene Crockwell

The Bermuda Police Service is still appealing for witnesses to the death of Shaki Eugene Crockwell of Hamilton Parish.It appears that around 10:22 on Friday evening, Police received a report of a person found in a non responsive state on the Railway Trail in the area of Loyal Hill in Devonshire. First responders arrived on the scene and a doctor pronounced the 25 year old Hamilton Parish man dead. At this juncture foul play is suspected.Police have a team of detectives from the Serious and Organized Crime Division carrying out an investigation into the death. Police would like to speak with the individual who called 911 to report the incident, also anyone that may have spoken to the deceased between Thursday and Friday August 23rd and 24th.Please call 299-4239 or the confidential Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-623-8477.

Arrests

Meantime, at about 4am on Saturday Police attended the Bacardi International building fountains only to observe a large group of around 20 individuals swimming in the fountains. Some of the individuals were wearing just undergarments and others were swimming naked. Six individuals were arrested for indecent exposure and trespassing and the others made good there escape.Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Police attended a report of a burglary that took place on Saturday at 6am at the Hamilton Seventh-Day Adventist Church on King Street in the City of Hamilton. It appears that the suspect had his belongings in one of the church rooms when a church elder approached him inquiringwhy he was on the church property after being arrested for burglary/trespassing before.The man tried to make good his escape but was prevented from leaving the premises by 2 other church members. The man was subsequently arrested and taken to Hamilton Police Station.
