Robbery

At 1:05 this morning, Police attended a reported robbery at the junction of Park Road and Government Hill Road in St. Georges. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 38 year old St. Georges man, who stated that around 12:20am he was walking to his Coot Pond Road residence. On reaching the junction of Park Road and Government Hill, the St. Georges man was approached by a group of young men, some brandishing bladed articles, who demanded cash. A struggle took place and the suspects were able to take a quantity of cash and a gold chain with a ‘B pendant from the victim before making good their escape. The 38 year old St. Georges man sustained a cut to the left side of his chin during the struggle. The suspects are described as approximately 10 black males wearing all black clothing. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the St. Georges Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222.

Burglary

Around 4:20 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a Warwick guest property. On arrival officers spoke with a security guard at the premises, who stated that around 4am he discovered that an unknown culprit had gained entry into a restaurant on the property. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 9:10am on Tuesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a South Road, Hamilton parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 1:30am and 8am that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home. The culprit stole a black wallet containing a quantity of cash, a Canon PowerShot digital camera, a blue Motorola ‘Razr cellular phone and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
