Burglary

At 6:35 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a Cedar Hurst Place, Southampton residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 10pm on Sunday and 5am on Monday, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and the complainants car, a green Mitsubishi Lancer, license plate #12947. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for anyone with any information on the whereabouts of the stolen vehicle to contact the Vehicle Crime Unit on 299-4316 or the main Police number, 295-0011.

Robbery

Around 10:25pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported robbery on Greenfield Lane in Sandys parish. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 26 year old pizza delivery man, from Devonshire. He stated that around 9:55pm he went to make a delivery at a West Side Road, Sandys parish residence. However, when he arrived at the home, he was told no one there ordered any pizza. As he was leaving the area, two unknown men approached him at the junction of Greenfield Lane and Long Bay Lane. One of the suspects grabbed the pizza delivery man and held him from behind while the other suspect took the pizza, a quantity of cash and personal items. The suspects then made good their escape. The Devonshire man was not injured. The suspects are described as two black males, approximately 6 tall and between 30 and 35 years old. One of the suspects wore a hooded jacket with the hood up. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

At 2:50am on Saturday, Police attended a reported robbery on Convict Bay Lane in St. Georges. On arrival officers spoke with the victims, a 61 year old St. Georges man and a 57 year old St. Georges woman. The couple stated that they socialized with friends at a few of the establishments on Kings Square during Friday night and decided to walk home afterwards. It appears that once outside their residence, two unknown men appeared and assaulted the husband and wife, punching and kicking them about the body before making good their escape with a wallet containing a quantity of cash and personal items. The victims sustained abrasions to the head and body and swelling as a result. It is unclear if the victims attended KEMH. The suspects are described as two light skinned males, approximately 6 tall; one was wearing a white T-shirt and dark track pants while the other had a close haircut and was wearing dark clothing. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the St. Georges Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 2 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 14 reported burglaries. There were also 16 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 12 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 8 vehicles reported taken without their owners consent.
