Medical Emergency

Police responded to a report of a medical emergency that took place at Darrells Island this morning at 8:20am.It appears that a 44 year old man was found in a non-responsive state.This resulted in the 44 year old man being taken via Police boat to Barrs Bay Park where he was then taken via ambulance to KEMH. He is presently in ICU in critical condition.
Shoplifting
At around 2pm yesterday Police attended Marketplace on Church Street in Hamilton on a report of shoplifting. The store manager stated that he observed a woman walk into the store and go into the liquor section. The woman was seen to put something under her sweatshirt and head to the front of the store. She was then pursued by the store manager, however the woman ran out of the store and got on the back of a white step through bike and rode off east.
She is described as a heavy set woman; light complexioned, with braided hair, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and light coloured pants. Anyone with any information about this incident should contact Hamilton Police Station on 295-0011.
