Handbag Snatch

Police responded to a report of a handbag snatching that took place yesterday in the area of Richmond Road and Bermudiana Road in Pembroke around 10pm. The victim stated that she was returning to her car which was parked on the east side of Bermudiana Road outside of the Bank of Bermuda and as she attempted to get into her vehicle, a man on a motorcycle rode up beside her and snatched her handbag from her hand. The rider did not have his lights engaged and made good his escape north on Bermudiana Road. The rider was said to have on dark clothing and was wearing a grey helmet. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
