Sun, 2007-12-30

The Bermuda Police Service is aware that there are many events taking place tonight across the island to celebrate the arrival of the New Year, 2008. As such, Police will be actively patrolling in various areas throughout the island overnight and into the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 1, 2008. The Bermuda Reserve Police have also been embodied to assist with policing during this period.

We would like to encourage members of the public to enjoy themselves responsibly, by not drinking and driving or if they are going to drink, insisting on having a designated driver to ensure they get to their destinations safely. The Bermuda Police Service would also like to take this opportunity to wish the community a safe but enjoyable New Years Eve and all the best in 2008.
