Burglary

At 10:15pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Brunswick Street, Pembroke business. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 6:30pm on Friday, January 4th and 9:45pm on Saturday, January 12th an unknown culprit or culprits gained entry into the premises while they were overseas. The culprit(s) stole a quantity of electronic equipment. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service has received several reports recently of individuals having necklaces (chains) snatched from around their necks. Police have been aware of this trend for awhile now and advise those wearing expensive chains in public to be vigilant.

The Bermuda Police Service will hold a press conference today at 2pm in the Police Media Relations office, Prospect, Devonshire regarding the recent ‘Police blitz. All media are encouraged to attend.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there was 1 person arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 5 reported burglaries. There were also 14 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 7 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 8 vehicles reported taken without their owners consent.
