Injury RTC

At 1:30pm on Monday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Somerset Road and Hook & Ladder Lane in Sandys parish involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling west on Somerset Road and the car was traveling along Hook & Ladder Lane when the vehicles collided at the junction. The rider of the motorcycle, a 20 year old Southampton man, sustained a serious injury to his right forearm and right knee. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 74 year old Sandys parish woman, was not injured. Both vehicles received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

At 6:55pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Pitts Bay Road, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8:40am and 6:20pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a BlackBerry cellular phone, a quantity of cash and jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
