Robbery

Around 10:30pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported robbery near the junction of Middle Road and Princess Drive in Southampton. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 47 year old Southampton man, who stated that he returned to the area to check on his motorcycle, which had broken down at that location earlier in the day. While there he was approached by two unknown men who assaulted him and took his wallet, containing a quantity of cash and personal items. The assailants then made good their escape. The victim was taken to KEMH for treatment of cuts & abrasions to his face, arms and legs and released. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information about this incident to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.
