Robbery

Around 5pm on Saturday, Police received a report of a robbery. The victims, who are American visitors to the island, stated that they were at a bus stop on South Road in Warwick near Warwick Camp waiting for the bus when they were approached by two unknown men. One of the men assaulted the 25 year old male visitor before both suspects made good their escape on foot with the victims property consisting of a brown mens wallet, a blue ladies purse, an Olympus digital camera, a quantity of cash and personal items. The male visitor did not report receiving any injuries as a result of the assault. The 23 year old female visitor was not assaulted. The suspects are described as two dark skinned men, approximately 6 tall of slim build with short hair cuts, wearing dark clothing. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information about this incident to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

Burglary

Around 10pm on Friday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Tribe Road #2, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 6:30am and 9pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Sony Cybershot digital camera, an Apple laptop computer, a Motorola cellular phone and a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
