Robbery

Two men at 8:20pm on Thursday, March 20th attended the Hamilton Police Station and reported that they were robbed at gun point on Parsons Lane in Devonshire, near Bermuda Water Works Limited. The complainants stated that they were repairing a cycle on the side of the road when two males walked up to them and pointed what appeared to be a firearm at them. The suspects then made demands of money and robbed the males of an undisclosed amount of cash. The two suspects made good their escape by running easterly on Parsons Lane.

At present there are two males in custody assisting Police with this inquiry. Police are also appealing for anyone with any information to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers Hotline on 1-800-623-8477.

Disturbance

On Friday March 21st at 1:45am the victim a 20 year old Devonshire woman attended the Level Night Club on Front Street. The victim states that she went into the bathroom at the club when she noticed her friend engaged in argument with three females, as a result she tried to intervene. This resulted in the victim being shoved in the back by one of the females and the other two females began to punch her in the face. The complainant states that she fought back but was over powered by the 3 females resulting in the victim falling to the ground. The management of the establishment ejected all of the females from the club, however once the victim appeared outside the suspects began to attack the Devonshire woman again, punching her in the face until she was taken away by family and the suspects then made good their escape.

The victim received two black eyes, a bruised nose, multiple scratches on her neck, a busted upper lip, swelling on the left side of her face and an open wound on the arch of her left foot.

Impaired Driving

At 1:25 this morning off duty officers were traveling west along South Road in Paget when they encountered a private car swerving from side to side. The officers then noticed the car cross into the opposing lane then veer back just avoiding a collision. On duty officers were summoned and the driver, a 52 year old Warwick man, was then stopped by Police. It was noticed that his breath smelled of intoxicants, his speech was slurred and that he was unsteady on his feet. The Warwick man was arrested and taken to Hamilton Police station where he refused to comply with the demand for a breath sample. He was then processed and detained.
