Disturbance

Around 3:40 this morning, Police received a report of a disturbance at a Friswells Road, Pembroke residence. It appears that around 3:20am four men attended the residence, with two of them brandishing weapons (blunt articles and a bladed article). One of the suspects then attacked one of the occupants with the bladed article. The victim, a 41 year old Pembroke man, sustained minor abrasions to his right hand and left arm. The Friswells Road home and a vehicle parked outside were also damaged. The suspects made good their escape; however, one man was subsequently arrested in connection with this incident and a vehicle believed to have been used by the suspects was impounded by Police. Inquiries into this matter are ongoing.

Burglary

At 2:10pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Cross End Lane, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 11:45am and 3:45pm on Friday, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and a gold bracelet. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 10:30pm on Friday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Mission Crescent, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 3pm and 10pm that day, an unknown culprit or culprits gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit(s) stole a 42” Panasonic flat screen TV. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the Easter weekend there were 4 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 14 reported burglaries. There were also 27 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 10 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 9 vehicles reported taken without their owners consent.
