Around 8:30pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Watlington Road West in Devonshire involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the car was traveling east on Middle Road and the motorcycle was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided as the car attempted to make a right turn at the junction. The rider of the cycle, a 37 year old Pembroke man, sustained a fractured pelvis and abrasions. The driver of the car, a 49 year old Devonshire woman, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the car received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision or anyone with any information to contact PC Seymour Foote on 295-0011.

Around 3:20pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with Walsingham Lane involving two buses and a motorcycle. It appears that one bus was traveling east on Harrington Sound Road and the other bus was traveling in the opposite direction when the motorcycle attempted to overtake the eastbound bus and collided with both buses. As a result, the male rider and passenger on the cycle fell to the ground; however they quickly got up, picked up the cycle and rode off in an easterly direction. Both buses received minor damage. There were no reports of injuries to the driver or passengers of either bus. It is unknown whether the two men on the cycle were injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Around 10:40am on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Smiths parish near the junction with Middle Road involving a car (SUV) and a pedestrian. It appears that the SUV was traveling west on North Shore Road when a male pedestrian attempted to cross the street in the area of Brightside Guest Apartments. The pedestrian complained of pain to his legs and right shoulder. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 46 year old Hamilton parish woman, was not injured and her vehicle was not damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
