The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 34 year old Larry Thomas of Southampton. Mr. Thomas succumbed to injuries sustained in a road traffic collision that occurred around 3:10am Saturday on Somerset Road in Sandys parish, near the junction with Tankard Lane. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing. Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Valerius Jean Louis at the Somerset Police Station on 234-1010. The Bermuda Police Service extends our sincere condolences to the family & friends of the deceased.
The death of Larry Thomas marks the 8th road fatality for 2008.
Burglary
Around 5:10pm on Friday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Camp Hill, Southampton residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 7:15am and 4:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of electronic equipment. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
