Around 2:15 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Somerset Road in Sandys parish, near the junction with Lantana Road. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling east on Somerset Road when the rider, a 32 year old Smiths parish man, lost control and fell to the ground. The Smiths parish man sustained cuts and abrasions to his face and hands. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening. The motorcycle received minor damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Zoenique Williams at the Somerset Police Station on 234-1010.
