Theft

At 6:30pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported theft from a resident of a Pembroke rest home. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 75 year old Pembroke man. He stated that around 5:30pm that day an unknown woman picked him up from the rest home in a black car and told him that his cousin was in jail, and needed money to get out. The woman then took him to a Church Street bank, where the Pembroke man withdrew $1,200 in cash, which he gave to the woman. The woman then returned him to the rest home. The suspect is described as dark brown skinned approximately 5'3" tall, wearing khaki pants and shirt. She is believed to be around 25 years old and was driving a black Mitsubishi car. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Missing Juvenile

The Bermuda Police Service is asking for the public's help in locating 15 year old Seanae Smith (pictured right). She is described as brown skinned, 5'2" tall of small build, weighing approximately 115lbs. She has short hair and may be wearing a white t-shirt, green shorts and green & white sneakers. She is known to frequent the Ord Road Paget/Warwick area and was last seen at the Brangman Home around 4pm on Tuesday. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of 15 year old Seanae Smith is asked to contact the Juvenile & Domestic Crime Unit on 299-4477.

Burglary

At 5:10pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a South Breeze Road, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7:50am and 4pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home. The culprit stole three ladies gold bracelets. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

The Bermuda Police Service has noticed a recent increase in burglaries, particularly in Warwick and Smith's parishes. It appears that most of these burglaries are occurring in the morning.
