Injury Road Traffic Collision

Police responded to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision that took place on Palmetto Road in Devonshire at 4:40 this morning. Details at this point are sketchy but it appears that a 31 year old man was traveling on that said road when he lost control of his vehicle. First responders arrived on the scene and conveyed the Pembroke man to the hospital where he is currently in stable condition in the ICU and is being treated for head and abdomen injures. Any witnesses to this collision are asked to contact Police on 295-0011.

Man Injured On Roof

Last night at 11:23pm Police were called to a report of a man in pain on the roof of Victor Scott School. It appears that a man was taking a short cut and making his way home through a narrow embankment above the school when it appears that he lost his footing and fell a number of feet onto the roof of the school. A family member heard him cry out in pain and came to his rescue and called 911. The man was then rushed to the hospital where he was treated for abdominal injures.
