Willful Damage

Police responded to a report of two cars having their windows smashed in the early hours of this morning on Parliament Street in the City of Hamilton. Vandals smashed the car windows and made off with a small quantity of cash in each case.

These two incidents represent a crime spate that has been going on for around a month. Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone who may have any information or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously around vehicles to contact Police on 295-0011.

Injury RTC

Police responded to a report of a road traffic collision that took place at the junction of Middle Road and Whale Bay in Southampton around 5pm yesterday. It appears that a truck was traveling east along Middle Road in Southampton and a car was traveling in the other direction when the vehicles collided. The driver of the car was extricated out of the vehicle by emergency personnel and taken to the hospital where the 53 year old Sandy’s parish woman is presently in the Intensive Care Unit with head and internal injuries. Witnesses are asked to contact PC Akimola on 234-1010.

Meantime, a 38 year old man who was involved in a serious road traffic collision on Sunday in the area of Spanish Point Road has been flown out of the island for medical treatment overseas. While two, 20 year old men remain in ICU as a result of injuries sustained in collisions that took place in the early part of this week.

(4 persons have been in ICU as a result of collisions that have taken place this week. One of those individuals is now overseas in critical condition).
