Burglary

At 9pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported burglary at an Olive Bank Drive, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7:30pm and 8:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a black Apple laptop computer. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 1:30pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Town Hill Road, Smith’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between Thursday, October 16th and earlier on Sunday, October 19th an unknown culprit gained entry into her apartment while she was overseas. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Witness Appeal

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision that occurred around 1:05pm Friday at the junction of Tribe Road #2 and North Shore Road in Devonshire involving two motorcycles. Both riders were taken to KEMH for treatment; a 38 year old Devonshire man remains in ICU with serious head injuries while a 28 year old Pembroke man sustained facial injuries and is recovering on a general ward. Both motorcycles were extensively damaged. Any witnesses to this collision are encouraged to contact PC Claude Jean on 295-0011.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 2 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 12 reported burglaries. There were also 14 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 5 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 10 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.

Media Note

The Passing Out Parade for Recruit Foundation Course #70 will be held today at 4pm outside Police Headquarters in Prospect. This is one of the largest classes in recent history and is very diverse. The course includes former Reserve Police officers, overseas recruits and 3 former Police Cadets! All media are encouraged to attend.
