Injury RTC/Impaired Driving

At 4 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury near the junction of Lane Hill and Cavendish Road in Pembroke. It appears that a car was traveling north along Lane Hill towards Cavendish Road when the driver, a 28 year old Devonshire man, lost control and collided with the sidewalk causing the vehicle to flip on to its roof. The Devonshire man sustained an injury to his right wrist and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The car received extensive damage to its roof. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 6:30pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a North Shore Road, Hamilton parish guest property. The complainant, who is a visitor to the island, stated that sometime between 10am and 6pm on Tuesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his cottage while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a ‘Movado’ watch with a gold/black face and a brown leather strap. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
