Burglary

Around 10:35am on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a South Road, Southampton residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant. It appears that sometime overnight an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a car from the home’s garage; however, at 1:05am on Friday the car, a blue Chevrolet Spark, was located by Police parked and unattended at Astwood Park in Warwick. The vehicle was subsequently impounded. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Injury RTC

Around 7:45pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Knapton Hill in Smith’s parish near the junction with Idle Acres Road. It appears that a van was traveling west on Knapton Hill when the driver, a 52 year old Southampton man, lost control. As a result the van struck a wall and overturned. The Southampton man sustained minor abrasions. The van received scratches and dents to its front end and right side as well as a collapsed roof. Inquiries are underway.

Damage Only RTC

Around 4:20pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported damage only road traffic collision at the junction of Harbour Road and Morgan Road in Warwick. It appears that a car was traveling east on Harbour Road and a truck was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided. The car was extensively damaged while the truck received front end damage. Neither the driver of the car, a 22 year old Hamilton parish man or the driver of the truck, a 27 year old Devonshire man, was injured. Inquiries are underway.

At 3pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported single vehicle damage only road traffic collision at the junction of Harbour Road and Lovers Lane in Paget. It appears that a jeep was traveling west on Harbour Road when the driver, a 35 year old Smith’s parish man, lost control. As a result the jeep collided with an embankment and overturned. The Smith’s parish man was not injured. The jeep received minor damage to its right side. Inquiries are underway.

Missing Juvenile - Found

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 15 year old Travis Lowe. The teenager was recovered yesterday and is safe and well.
