Around 11:45pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Devonshire near the junction with Loyal Hill Road involving a car and a rental cycle. It appears that the rental cycle was traveling west on North Shore Road when the rider, a 22 year old Hamilton parish man, attempted to overtake a car and collided with another car traveling in the opposite direction. The Hamilton parish man sustained a serious injury to his right foot, a laceration to his right knee as well as cuts & abrasions. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 34 year old Sandy’s parish woman, was not injured. The cycle was extensively damaged while the car received front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

All incidents are under investigation.
