Robbery

At 12:50am on Sunday, Police received a report of a robbery at the junction of Cedar Avenue and Dundonald Street in Pembroke. The victim, a 32 year old Paget man, stated that around 12:30am that day he was standing at the corner waiting for a taxi when he observed two men walking west on Cedar Avenue. The two suspects then crossed the road and accosted the victim, removing a quantity of cash and personal items from the Paget man before making good their escape. The victim was uninjured. The suspects are described as two dark skinned men of slim build, approximately 5’6” - 5’8” tall wearing black long sleeved hooded tops and dark coloured pants. Both suspects are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 4 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 10 reported burglaries. There were also 13 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 5 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 7 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
